MyKey™
The standard programmable MyKey™ feature is new in 2011 Fusion. It employs several innovative tools designed to help parents encourage teenagers to drive safely. Standard settings (that cannot be altered or disabled) include: • The Belt-Minder® System, which reminds front passenger occupants to buckle their safety belts, cannot be disabled and will not expire (the audio system also gets muted whenever BeltMinder is avtivated)* • Low-fuel warnings are displayed in the message center followed by a chime when the Distance-to-Empty value reaches 75 miles (120 km) • If equipped, the available Reverse Sensing System, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS™) with Cross Traffic Alert and Forward Collision Warning with Brake Support cannot be deactivated. Optional settings, which can be changed by authorized users, include: • Limiting the vehicle’s maximum speed to 80 mph (130 kmh); visual warnings and chimes are displayed at the vehicle’s start to inform the driver that the vehicle speed is limited to 80 mph (130 kmh) • Should the vehicle speed limit setting be activated, at 75 mph the driver is given an audio warning that the vehicle is approaching the top speed; at 80 mph, the driver is warned that the vehicle has reached the top speed and is encouraged to check his/her speed – and drive safely – via visual warnings and chimes. There are several maximum speed settings available, including 45-, 55- or 65-mph (75-, 90-, or 105-kmh. • The maximum volume of the audio system is limited to 45 percent. • The AdvanceTrac® System cannot be turned off. When this setting is on, the MyKey user will not be able to deactivate the system. This prevents the driver from burning the tires, performing doughnuts and other unsafe practice
Ford SYNC®
SYNC®27 is an easy-to-use in-car connectivity system that allows you to stay connected to your world. Simply pair your Bluetooth®-enabled phone and your compatible MP3 player or USB drive and SYNC does the rest. Features include:

-- Receive traffic alerts, turn-by-turn directions and business search right through your vehicle's stereo

-- Use your laptop or desktop to map out your destination from Google® Maps or MapQuest® and have the directions sent directly to your vehicle's SYNC system.
• Vehicle Health Report allows you to receive an online report of your vehicle's diagnostics.
• 911 Assist™ can connect you directly to a 911 operator through your paired mobile phone after an accident in which an airbag deploys.28

Rear View Camera
Put the gear selector in Reverse and the optional Rear View Camera automatically transmits the image to your rearview mirror (shown), when you’re slowly backing up. If your Fusion is equipped with the available Navigation System, the image is shown on the navigation screen. The Rear View Camera is included in the Driver’s Vision Package for Fusion SEL, Sport and Hybrid models.
Navigation System with SIRIUS Travel Link™
Receive a six-month trial to SIRIUS Traffic and SIRIUS Travel Link, bringing live infotainment services to your available voice-activated Navigation System. With SIRIUS Traffic you’ll get continuously updated traffic information and traffic-related incidents. SIRIUS Travel Link delivers local fuel prices, weather information, movie listings, sports scores and schedules. On top of all that, the voice-activated Navigation System has a 10GB hard drive so you can store approximately 2,400 songs. Browse your music by using the touch screen or use voice activation to play back a track.
BLIS™ with Cross Traffic Alert
The available BLIS™ (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross Traffic Alert is yet another innovation available on the 2011 Ford Fusion. Using two multiple-beam radar modules positioned in the rear quarter panels, the system’s radar detects moving objects within an area on either side of the vehicle extending rearward from the outside mirror to approximately 10 feet beyond the bumper. With BLIS™ (Blind Spot Information System), the radar identifies a vehicle entering the defined blind spot zone and illuminates an indicator LED light on the corresponding side view mirror. When a vehicle is crossing while you’re backing out of a parking spot or your driveway, the Cross Traffic Alert feature provides an audible warning, flashes an indicator light in the corresponding sideview mirror, and alerts you in the message center. BLIS with Cross Traffic Alert is available along with the Rear View Camera in the Driver’s Vision Package for SEL, Sport and Hybrid models. The package also includes new rain-sensing wipers.
